Acceptable use policy

1. Why this exists

A generator that draws whatever it is asked becomes a problem for everybody who uses it. The limits below keep the service usable for parents, teachers and creators who want to print something and sell what they make. They are enforced in code before a request ever reaches an image model, and they are re-checked on our servers so a modified browser cannot get past them.

2. What Colorune will not generate

Characters and brands owned by someone else

Colorune blocks prompts naming well-known copyrighted characters and registered trademarks, and it will not reproduce a company's logo. When it blocks one, it says so and suggests describing an original character instead — which usually produces a better colouring page anyway.

• Named film, television, game, comic and anime characters.
• Company logos, wordmarks and brand identities.
• Counterfeit or replica branded goods.

Anything that could pass for an official document

• Passports, identity cards, driving licences, residence permits, visas.
• Banknotes, currency, cheques and card fronts.
• Invoices, receipts, bank statements, payslips, tax forms.
• Certificates, diplomas, licences and official seals.
• Medical records, prescriptions and lab reports.
• Contracts and other legal instruments.

Real people who are not you

• Face swaps of any kind.
• Drawings of identifiable public figures.
• Photographs of other people that you do not have permission to use.

When you upload a photograph you are asked to confirm that it is yours, or that you have permission from the person who owns it. That confirmation is a term of use, not a formality.

Imitations of a living artist's personal style

Colorune will not accept “in the style of” a named living artist or illustrator. Describe the qualities you want — line weight, density of pattern, mood — and you will get closer to what you had in mind without borrowing someone's name.

Adult content and graphic violence

• Nudity, sexual or fetish content of any kind, including AI-generated.
• Gore, mutilation, torture, and depictions of self-harm or suicide.
• Content sexualising, endangering or exploiting minors — in any form, without exception.
• Promotion of terrorism, mass violence, or instructions for making weapons.

Hate and harassment

• Content that attacks or demeans people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
• Content designed to harass, bully, threaten or defame an identifiable person.
• Extremist symbols and propaganda.

Deception

• Anything intended to mislead people about who made it or what it depicts.
• Removing or tampering with the AI-generation markers Colorune embeds in its output. See the AI content disclosure.
• Presenting a generated page as a hand drawing by a named artist.

3. How you may not use the service itself

• Attempting to bypass, disable or probe the safety filters.
• Automated scraping, bulk extraction, or hammering the service beyond normal human use.
• Reselling or sublicensing access to the generator itself, as opposed to selling pages you have made.
• Sharing one paid account between people to get around the monthly page allowance.
• Uploading malware, or attempting to attack, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Using the service for anything unlawful where you are.

4. Legal restrictions you should know about

• Export and sanctions. Colorune may not be used by anyone in a country subject to comprehensive trade sanctions, or by anyone on a restricted-party list. By using the service you confirm you are not.
• Your local law governs what you do with the result. A licence from us to use a page commercially does not override trademark, copyright, personality or advertising law in your country.
• Printed products you sell are yours. If you publish a colouring book, you are the publisher. Any consumer, safety or labelling rules that apply to it are your responsibility.

5. What happens if you breach this policy

The response is proportionate to what happened.

• A blocked prompt is just blocked. Nothing happens to your account and you can try again.
• Repeated deliberate attempts to get around the filters may lead to a warning, then suspension.
• Serious breaches — content involving minors, attempts to attack the service, or unlawful use — result in immediate closure without refund, and may be reported to the authorities.

If you think something was blocked in error, email support@alestrasara.shop. A person reads it, and the filters do get things wrong sometimes.

6. Reporting a problem

To report content or behaviour that breaches this policy, email support@alestrasara.shop with as much detail as you can. Replies within 1 business day, Monday to Friday. Reports about the safety of a child are looked at the same day.
