No. You can type a one-line idea instead — something like “a fox in a scarf reading under a mushroom lamp” — and Colorune will draw it from scratch. Uploading a photo is only one of the two routes.

JPG and PNG, up to 12 MB. A clear, well-lit photo where the subject fills most of the frame gives by far the best line art. Very dark, blurry or heavily cluttered photos produce muddy lines.

Usually well under a minute. You stay on the same screen the whole time and the preview appears in place.

Yes, on Sketchpad and Colorbook. The title is typeset by Colorune in a real font after the drawing is made — it is never drawn by the image model, so it never comes out as garbled lettering.

Every plan gives you a PNG at print resolution. Sketchpad and Colorbook also give you a print-ready PDF sized for A4 or US Letter, with a margin your printer can handle.

That is the part we do in code rather than leaving to the model. After the drawing is generated we flatten it to pure black on pure white, remove grey halos, and thicken hairline strokes so a home inkjet does not drop them.

On the Colorbook plan you can bind many finished pages into a single multi-page PDF, in the order you choose.

Three pages per calendar month, every style, both detail levels, and a PNG download. Free pages carry a visible Colorune watermark and are for personal, non-commercial use. The Free plan never asks for card details and never turns into a paid plan on its own.

No. Your allowance resets on your renewal date each month and any unused pages are not carried forward.

Cancel at any time from your account page, or email support@alestrasara.shop and we will do it for you. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep full access until the end of the month you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.

You do. On any paid plan you get a licence to use what you generate commercially — including selling printed or digital colouring books. Free plan pages are for personal use only.

No. Colorune blocks prompts that name well-known copyrighted characters and brands and asks you to describe an original character instead. This protects both you and us.

No. Your uploads are never used to train any model. They are held only long enough to produce your page and are deleted automatically within 30 days — sooner if you delete them yourself.

Yes, deliberately. Every download carries a machine-readable AI-generation marker in its file metadata, and the result is labelled on screen before you download it.
